So it’s been a minute since I posted any updates. For the small – but loyal – handful of people following my crazy musical journey, I wanted to let you know what has been going on.
The next album has taken me a longer than I initially expected it to for a handful of reasons. It has taken so long in fact, that I have decided to split it into two parts. Only Criminals Get Caught, Part 1 will be released in the first half of 2024; it’s bookend, Part 2 will be released later in the year.
It is a synthwave record with a lyrical focus on addressing events of recent years – specifically in relation to societal changes, justice, and environmental concerns.
I have not decided yet if there will be a physical release. Possibly a limited run, but nothing like what was done for M.E.O.W. and probably not a cassette release like I did for Faux Pleasure. Which, by the way, is still available in limited quantities on bandcamp if you would like some vaporwave flavor in your life!
Following the release of Part 2, I think I am likely to go away for a while. I may release more stand-alone tracks instead of albums, but only time will tell.
